Interested in coaching with AA Ringette Calgary?

We aim to provide a high performance environment for ringette athletes to achieve their highest potential, driven by Ringette Canada and long term development. We can't do this without excellent leadership and technical expertise on the bench. Please note that co-coaching is available if you'd prefer to share the role. Please indicate on your application. 

Applications for Head Coaches for the 2026-27 season are now closed. 

The Coach Selection Committee reviews head coach applicants through June and we aim to announce the selected Head Coaches prior to July 1. The selection process is described in AA Ringette Calgary Policy 9, Coach Selection. Please refer to our Policies and Bylaws to review this information. 

You will also need to submit the following documents to complete your application:

1. Additional coaching certifications not listed on your NCCP transcript, if applicable
2. If you are selected to coach for the next season, you will be required to submit valid Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening, current for the last 3 years or proof of your application being in process. You will be required to send this to the Coach Admin Coordinator.
3. Screening Disclosure form  (if Police Information Check is over 1 year)
4. Coach Code of Conduct Pledge

All documents above should be sent to president@ringettecalgary.ca by the deadline. You will receive confirmation of the submission of the Google coach form. If you prefer to complete and submit your application using offline forms, please email president@ringettecalgary.ca to request them.

After selections are announced, we will provide the selected Head Coaches with the list of coaching applicants received for that division for consideration as their named Assistant Coach, although they are not required to select an individual from that list. Named assistant coaches must submit all required information (application, required documentation) and be approved by the Board of Directors prior to the first tryout ice time for that division. All coaching positions must have the required certifications or complete them by December 15 of the playing season, or that individual will be removed from the roster.

Team Formation

For the upcoming season, AA Ringette Calgary will be forming teams to meet the AA program goals and deliver a rich experience for our athletes. Team sizes are as per approval by Ringette Calgary in accordance with AA Ringette Calgary Policy 6 'Number of Teams', but are also subject to change based on the number of registrants and tryouts.

AA Ringette Calgary can draft the following team formations:

• U14AA: 3 teams of 13 skaters and 1 goalie each
• U16AA: 3 teams of 13 skaters and 1 goalie each
• U19AA: 2 teams of 15 skaters and 2 goalies each
